Garden with a French feel

Monet bridge placed over the proposed stream bed to be visible from the terrace painted either a crisp white or muted green reflecting the original at Giverny.
Gravel path and steps lead to the bridge and source of the proposed water feature. Raised approx. 1.8m and constructed from dark stones. The bed is to be lined with slate chippings.
Driveway is to be modified to fit with the pattern proposed for the patio . Definition by way of blue engineering bricks set one brick level above the drive.
Sunken gravel seating area is to be surrounded by a mixed cottage and herbaceous bed. Circular bench to be either stark white or muted green to match bridge.
Slabs clothe areas of the terrace which is to be edged with a gravel base that will blend with the gravel path and dry river bed.
Gravel path cuts through the rockery and is to be planted in a style similar to that of Beth Chatto's dry river bed.

Sketch showing the sunken seating area surfaced with light coloured bound gravel and formal bench with associated shrub and herbaceous planting.
Monet style bridge to the top of the rockery with the proposed stream bed running beneath it, clothed with planting.
